This work offers a British perspective on American involvement in Vietnam. Initially serialized like the '70s History of the Second World War series, it features numerous high-quality photographs, detailed sidebars on the major weapons used by both sides, explanations of tactics, and firsthand accounts from participants. The British viewpoint emphasizes the contributions of non-American allies, particularly the Koreans and Australians, while also including articles from Vietcong and North Army members, providing a unique perspective on the conflict. The narrative spans from the U.S. Marines' initial landings at Da Nang in 1964 to the fall of Saigon in 1975, covering the Vietnamese/Cambodian wars and offering a brief overview of Vietnam in the mid-1980s.
