Book tells the story of the attack on Nuremberg on the night of March 30-31, 1944. The RAF sent 795 Lancasters & Halifaxes to destroy the historic city. Ninety-four of the bombers were lost over Germany more lost as sea on the way home and 17 shot up so bad they never flew again. It was the worst casualty rate the RAF suffered in the war. Written by a veteran of the RAF who flew a mission in Halifax bombers.
