The Australian Army Catering Corps (AACC) provides timely and deployable catering support to land force assets as part of brigade, task force, joint or combined operations, and a catering service to enhance Australian Defence Force operations. 
 
In fulfilling the role, the AACC is responsible for: providing technical advice to commanders and staff on catering matters; economical use of rations; developing and implementing food safety measures; provision of nutritional meals to soldiers; provision of a field catering service, including sourcing of rations, operation of a field kitchen, provision of a dining facility and management of grey water and waste; and the provision of barracks catering service, including provision of meals and a bar service to entitled members as well as a function service. 
 
The Australian Army Catering Corps motto is ‘We Sustain’.
