The author describes his experiences in both the RAAF and civil aviation. He flew with No 77 (Fighter) Squadron in Korea. After the war he flew Mosquitos on photographic survey operations with 87 Squadron. He later graduated from the Australian Joint Anti-Submarine School and served on Neptune P2V5 Maritime aircraft. With 11 Squadron, he participated in Operation Satex, a joint naval and air exercise north of New Guinea. His civil career included work with Qantas and Malayan Airways, and he became involved in pilot checking, training and airline developmental work.
