German Aircraft Of The Second World War (1975) By J.R. Smith & Anthony Kay
Illustrated throughout, this is a complete historical record of over 600 aircraft, including experimental and research models and the W-weapons, that served with German aviation arms during World War II.
The Putnam book on German Aircraft of the Second World War is a concise and detailed account tracing the development and rebirth of aircraft manufacture and military aviation within Germany. The main part covers all categories of aircraft in service, including rotary-winged aircraft and missiles.
Another excellent reference work from Putnam has very good information on the subject of operational Luftwaffe aircraft used in the Second World War. This book also contains information on Luftwaffe aircraft that only reached the prototype stage and did not become operational. It also has a section on rotary-wing aircraft, fixed-wing aircraft projects, and missiles. All in all, this book is highly recommended!
