Kapitanleutnant Franz Beyer was acclaimed a hero of the Reich when his U-boat sank the British cruiser "Cambridge". But he didn't win any admirers among the Allies when it was learned that he had also blown a small boat out of the water, then machine-gunned the survivors. It was about time something was done about this "hero". Something drastic and very permanent!
